Thanks for finding my blog. I'll try to help but I don't think I can offer much. I don't think the items are stored in any table either. Here's my 2 cents:
1. Is this file present and intact? (and has accessible permissions) /administrator/components/com_menus/views/item/tmpl/type.php
2. Have you updated your PHP installation recently?
I have created the main menu which is working fine, but I have 1 problem: I cannot assign it to show only the 1st level sub menu links.
Another issue I have is: I have created a Second menu (just below the main menu and published it shows on the front page. When I visit a link of the Second menu, the main menu disappears. Do you know what might be the issue?
Hi you need to go to module manager> main menu and select all the menu tiles you want to see your menu in under the heading menu selection on that page. Hope that helps
My menu sill does not show up when using RocketTheme's Nebulae template. It shows up in the default one though. Why does this happen? Could you help me?
Hi Mark, I made some changes to my site but now I can't get the side menu to show up on a section of the website. It was working fine but now the side menu doesn't show up. I have 5 sections under the "sex rev" section and the menu only appears under the "Give" section. Any ideas of why this might be happening?
I have just transferred my demo joomla website to my own domain. Everything's working correctly except the main menu on top. Any changes I make to them(eg. changing name, adding new menu item..) doesnt show on frontend. I have correctly done the module settings. I am not able to figure out why is it happening.
Did you check that the demo version of Joomla is the same? Check the PHP versions too. There's a lot of problems that always occur between Joomla versions. Also check the URL structure is the same on your demo site and your domain. Can't really help much more than that myself really. Each Joomla installation brings its own set of problems
I'm working on a Joomla site locally, and I am using K2.
I already have my categories, my menus, my articles ready.
So I did:
COPY THE CONTENTS of the folder /components/com_k2/templates/ and PASTE it into /templates/YOURJOOMLATEMPLATE/html/com_k2/ as per documentation. My items are not showing up.
Then I saw this, saying it should be /templates/YOURJOOMLATEMPLATE/html/com_k2/templates. So I did that too, but nothing happens again.
When I click on an item on the tabs on the aside, this is what happens (see attachment here http://getk2.org/community/New-to-K2-Ask-here-first/163177-Templating-noob). The menu item UC is a K2 Category type.
I haven't edited anything in the default folder that was copied in my template file. The template is custom made, and it doesn't have the common Joomla positions in it. Is that an issue?
Am I missing something? Do I need to publish a certain module or something?
I am a total noob to Joomla and K2 so I really apologize for this question. But please, I really need help. Nothing is showing up.
thank you. it helped

ReplyDeleteApparently it could be the Joomla version, according to this: http://www.rockettheme.com/forum/index.php?f=208&t=138051&rb_v=viewtopic
